Family Time

Today is my 13th wedding anniversary! Unfortunately, my wife has a pretty nasty cold, so my 10-year-old daughter decided to write her a couple of poems to cheer her up. We thought they were pretty cute, so we asked her if we could post them here. She agreed, on the condition that I draw our family as hearts, like she had done on her card. So here are her two poems, followed by my version of our heart family.

It's not fun when you're sick
Sitting down and laying all day,
But when you're sick I'll help you
Move and get on your way.

           *****

I'm so happy that you're in my life
You are the best Mommy of all,
You help me stay happy and cheerful
    Even if I fall.

Purple Porpoise

Today I received a request for a purple porpoise. If there are any other ideas you'd like me to try, add it to the comments or send me an email.

Panda Box

At dinner tonight, my daughter requested a panda in a box, holding some bamboo with a big bow on it's head. This is what she got (the original is about an inch square, so don't expect too much detail!)

Pancakes!

By popular request (i.e. - being reminded repeatedly) here's a pangolin about to enjoy a large plate of pancakes. This is just a still image - hopefully I'll get it animated in the near future...

Bonus Poem!

From my sister! It's in response to my Bad Poetry Day post, but I think it's pretty good...

My poetry is never bad
A fact for which I'm sure you're glad
I'll celebrate this day with style
And hope this poem brings you a smile :)

(Anybody else want their pictures or poems immortalized on the web? Send 'em to me and I'll put 'em up!)
